Stroke Aware is an initiative that aims to empower and enable individuals to respond in the best possible way if they, or someone close to them, find themselves in the extreme emergency of stroke. This is done through education, primarily of at-risk populations, but also of those around them.
We offer two presentation options: one focuses on recognizing symptoms and what to do when a stroke occurs, and is usually offered to seniors in community centers. The other option covers these topics as well, but also includes primary prevention and more information on the medical explanation of stroke phenomenon; an alternative that is usually of interest to companies who wish to provide education to their employees on these topics.
We do not ask for any compensation and we do these workshops on a voluntary basis.
